Fall 2020 Return to Play Guidelines

Return to Play Guidelines are attached here.

The following email was sent to registered AYSO families on Wednesday, August 19, 2020.

Dear Highland Park AYSO Families:

We hope that you continue to be safe and healthy.  Thank you for your patience as we assembled the next round of information.

Return to Play Guidelines are attached.   Please review.  We will also be posting these on our site.  While we remain committed to providing our community's children with a quality recreational soccer program, we must reserve the right to adjust our plans as circumstances change and as further guidance is issued by the relevant authorities.

As mentioned previously, if you desire to opt out and receive a full refund please submit your information via by August 26, 2020.  Please select the reason for dropping as: Covid-19.   We will need a few weeks to process the refund checks, following August 26th.

Registration will close on August 26th. If you know of anyone interested in participating, please forward this message.

Our fall season will start Saturday, September 12th and conclude November 7th.   Registration for the fall also includes the spring season. All players will receive an HP AYSO shirt.   We can supply soccer balls on an as needed basis.  We will assess ordering uniforms for the spring season over the winter.

Programming will consist of a single session per week, during daylight hours on the weekend.  The 4U, 5U and 6U divisions will run 60-minute sessions.   All divisions from 8U and up will run 90-minute sessions.  4U/5U and 6U will be co-ed, socially distant sessions with skill building and fun activities.   8U and up will have a 60 minute socially distant training sessions, focused on skill building, followed by a scrimmage.

Players within a division will be grouped into "pods" rather than "teams".  Each pod will be a stand-alone entity.  This means that all activities will take place within the pod itself.   Once assigned to a pod, players will not be permitted to change.   We will form the pods once we understand our final registration numbers.   Pod assignments will be sent out following Labor Day weekend, sooner if possible.

Our tentative fall schedule is as follows and subject to minor adjustments based on final registration numbers.
